Terms and Conditions for the Charity Auction and Prize Draw

Ludlow Rotary Club is holding an Online Charity Auction and an Online Prize Draw during the autumn of 2021. Detail below are the Terms & Conditions relating to both events.

Beneficiaries

The money collected from the sale of tickets for the Prize Draw and the raised tin the Charity Auction will be distributed between St Michael’s Hospice, Hereford; Hope House Children’s Hospice, Oswestry and Ludlow Rotary Club’s own small grant scheme Ludlow Rotary Cares.

Entering the Charity Auction

The Charity Auction is being kindly run on behalf of Ludlow Rotary Club By Brightwells Auctioneers between September 20th and Sunday September 26th. The closing time for bids is 6.00 PM on the 26th. For more details including Terms & Conditions, please visit Register Now

Winers will be invoiced including bank details by Ludlow Rotary Club within 48 by email.

Payment is required by online bank transfer with 48 hours of being informed of a winning bid. Unclaimed items will be offered to the second highest bidder.

Liability of description, delivery of the lots to the buyers, any representations and collections of sale monies lies with Ludlow Rotary Club who have, to their best knowledge, reflected the facts accurately.

Terms and Conditions of the Prize Draw

These terms and conditions apply to the Ludlow Rotary Club Dog Day Prize Draw 2021 to be held on December 19th 2021.

Promoter

On behalf of Ludow rotary Club, the Promoter is Mr Adrian Carter, 107 Old Street, Ludlow. SY8 1NU

The Rotary Ludlow Club Charitable Trust, a registered charity in England and Wales 250736. The Ludlow Rotary Club Dog Day Prize Draw 2021(the “Prize Draw”) is registered by Shropshire Council – 21/01088/SSLR 

Entering the Prize Draw

  • By entering this prize draw you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. 
  • The Prize Draw is only open to individuals aged 18 or over. Any person who has entered the prize draw and who is found to be under 18 years of age on 19th of December 2021 will automatically forfeit any prize. The Promoter reserves the right to require proof of identity and age. See Underage Policy Statement below.
  • The Prize Draw is open to residents of mainland Great Britain only (this excludes Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands). 
  • The named license holder is ineligible to enter.
  • Participation in this draw costs £1 per raffle ticket. 
  • The maximum number of tickets available is 2000.
  • Tickets will be on sale from Sunday 5th September.

  • Payment can only be made by debit card paid on line as part of the purchase process.
  • Ludlow Rotary Club accepts no responsibility for Prize Draw tickets emails which are lost, or from which the prize-winner cannot be identified, or for any technical failure or event which may cause the competition to be disrupted or corrupted. No responsibility is taken for Prize Draw tickets and payment lost or delayed. Ludlow Rotary club accepts no responsibility if the chosen method of payment is cancelled in error.
  • Any Prize Draw ticket monies received after the closing date will be treated as a donation to Ludlow Rotary Club. 
  • Ludlow Rotary Club cannot claim Gift Aid on Prize Draw ticket monies, but Gift Aid can be claimed on donations.
  • Ludlow Rotary Club reserves the right to disqualify any entry that breaches the terms and conditions of the Prize Draw, acting fraudulently or illegally or other reasonable grounds.
  • The promoter may amend these terms and conditions at any time. Details of any significant changes will be published on the Ludlow Dog Day website.

The Prize Draw

  • Details of the prizes are listed on the Ludlow Dog Day website at www.ludlowdogday.org.uk and on the Peoples Fundraising
  • The closing date and prize draw date will be printed on the email confirming purchase of tickets and on the Ludlow Dog Day website www.ludlowdogday.org.uk and the Peoples Fundraising website page
  • The prize winners will be randomly selected by the raffle software run by Peoples Fundraising on December 19th at 6.00 PM
  • Winners will be informed of their prize on the day of the draw via email and within 48 hours winners will receive a further email informing them of how to redeem their prize. Some prizes will be email or posted to the winner other will require to be collected from a designated address in the Ludlow area. Please respect Covid rules if collecting in person.
  • A full list of prize winners will be posted on www.ludlowdogday.org.uk within 48 hours of the draw taking place
  • The result of the draw is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
  • Prizes are non-transferable, non-negotiable and no cash alternative will be available.
  • Please keep the email confirming purchase of Prize Draw tickets as proof of purchase.
  • Winners of prizes involving alcoholic beverages will be required to provide proof of age when collecting their prize. 
  • Ludlow Rotary Club will endeavour to contact winners by email using the details provided. Prizes will be held for 10 days. After that time, any unclaimed prizes will be disposed of by Ludlow Rotary Club as it sees fit.
  • Prizes are subject to the prize suppliers’ terms and conditions and any complaints or queries relating to the use or condition of the prize should be directed to the relevant supplier of the prize.
  • The promoter reserves the right to withdraw any prize should it become unavailable.
  • The promoter will only use your personal information for the purposes of administering the draw.

Ludlow Rotary Club Dog Day Prize Draw 2021 – Under-Age Sales Statement 

1. By purchasing an entry you agree to these terms and conditions. Any participation instructions form part of these terms and conditions. Any entry not complying with these terms and conditions will be invalid. Ludlow Rotary Club’s decisions pursuant to these terms and conditions shall be final and binding. 

2. You represent and agree that:
a. You are 18 years of age or over.
b. You are a resident of mainland Great Britain
c. You will not buy or purport to buy an entry in this raffle/draw on behalf of anybody under the age of 18.
d. You will provide accurate entry information, including your name and personal address. 

3. You agree that you shall not be entitled to receive any prize if you are unable to substantiate to the Promoter your representations under paragraph 2. 

4. Entries may not be sold to or by anyone under 18 years of age.
